After seeing the effectiveness of mole drainage, AgAssist has purchased a Covenbrook Mole Plough which is available for hire with the idea that landowners can use it with thier own tractor and labour which is a very cost effective way of draining waterlogged paddocks.
This type of plough was chosen as it can easily be towed from job to job with a ute or vehicle. The walking beam axles allow even depth control to ensure the mole is ripped at a constant depth relative to ground height.
To pull the mole a tractor with at least 130hp is required.
If a drainage design is required, AgAssist can provide advice on the type of drains required along with drainage maps which will help assist the placement and type of drains and the direction of the moles. If LIDAR elevation data is not available to assist in the design on areas with little fall, AgAssist can conduct RTK elevation mapping or organise a drone survey.
